Titanium (Ti #22) is the next element on the periodic table for my APEX mineral collection.
Wikipedia Titanium
Titianium Minerals - There are lots of Titanium minerals.
Rutile (TiO2) with 60% Titanium is my APEX Mineral.
Titanium resists corrosion and as strong as steel but 45% lighter.  Titanium is one of the few elements that burns in pure nitrogen gas
Titanium or its minerals has no historical usage before the 19th century.
95% of Titanium is refined as Titanium Dioxide which is used as an intense white pigment used in paints, paper, toothpaste, and plastics.  This pigment is spectaculary opaque and resistent to fading.

The rest of Titanium is used as an alloy with other metals.

Titanium has no known biologic function.
